April 17, Tues. 6 to 8 pm Art show open house.. Featuring area school grades K to 12.
April 19, Thurs. 11AM Luncheon at Ponderosa featuring Andrew Forrester, Special Assistant to Mayor Welch, presents the plans of the new city administration. Please pay
cashier as you come in. Also plan on signing up for the new season which kicks off
May 1, 2012.
May 5, Sat. 10.30am Tour of Log Cabins in eastern Jefferson County. Carpool from the Railroad Station beginning at 10:30. Bring a picnic lunch which you can enjoy at the newly restored cabin of Richard and Karen Dickie. Lemonade and dessert provided by the Dickies. We will tour at least 5 cabins.
June 5, Tues. Joint program with HMI. Program of Shrewsbury Windle House, speaker John Staicer. Pitch-In-Luncheon. Time and place to follow.
June 22 – October 31 Joint Show sponsored by HMI and JCHS. The exhibit features impressive Snyders and other paintings rarely seen by the public.
June 22, Fri. 6 – 8 PM Opening of the joint show featuring a presentation by renowned art historian, Estill Curtis Pennington. His talk is entitled, “Ohio River Valley Art in the Time of William McK. Snyder.” Pennington’s talk begins at 6:30.
July 3 – 26 “ Endangered Heritage Exhibit,” a traveling exhibit from the Indiana Historical Society. which looks at properly preserving artifacts, papers, photos, etc.
July 10, 7 PM. Greg Ziesemer, furniture conservator talks about “Caring for your Antique Furniture.”
October 31 , 11am Appreciation Lunch for our volunteers. Guest are $10.00
November 2, Fri. 7pm Annual Dinner. Emile Todd Helm, President Lincoln’s sister-in-law. Clifty Inn State Park will host our dinner. $30.00 per person…RSVP by Oct 30, 2012
